A favorite holiday tradition!

Christmas Camping

Christmas Camping is our new favorite holiday tradition! It feels so special and is pretty much free (which during the expensive holiday season is an added bonus!).

Set up a tent, pile in your coziest holiday blankets and pillows, and then hop in and watch a holiday movie!

We set up our pop-up shade shelter, which usually sees the most use during the summer months when we take it to our neighborhood pool. It’s quick and easy to set up and mostly fits in our family room (just a few pieces of furniture need to be shifted). Use the tent you take camping, or make your own fort in the living room or family room with blankets and sheets.

Now take the coziest, comfiest, most festive blankets and pillows you have and pile them all in. We love our custom holiday pillow slipcovers from Collage.com. We just slip them over our existing pillows, then remove them to store after the holiday season.

Put on some Christmas jammies, or don’t if that’s not your thing, and cozy in to watch a holiday movie! You can set up in front of the TV, or just bring a tablet or laptop into your tent.

Older kids may want to spend the night overnight in the tent, while younger kids (and parents) may just opt to watch the movie then head to their own beds.

We’ve watched Elf the last two years running, but there are so many good holiday movies! Enjoy your camping trip!
