March has been a rough month here at The Burnt Salad. Recovery from back surgery has been tougher than expected, so not a lot of cooking or eating anything fun and exciting. So, on the very last day of the month, here are my March faves!

Taking Facebook Off Your Phone
I can’t recommend this enough! A family member mentioned that she recently removed Facebook off her phone and I thought I’d give it a try. And i’m so glad I did!!
Any doom-scrolling has stopped, I don’t waste nearly as much time on the app, and I just feel better overall. I didn’t feel like scrolling made me feel sad or angry, but I just don’t miss it! I can hop on using my laptop, say Happy Birthday as needed and scroll the first few stories to see anything big, but I’m on there for like 10-15 minutes once/a couple of times a week.
I still have Instagram on my phone and scroll and post regularly, but taking off Facebook has been the breath of fresh air I needed this spring! I challenge you to do the same!
Bonus: Shows!
Since I’ve been logging lots of time in the recliner and on the couch, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. Here are my Top 5!
- Bridgerton – Sometimes I think shows are overhyped, however I liked this one and am excited for a season 2!
- All Creatures Great & Small – On PBS and produced by Masterpiece Theatre, it’s about a vet in Scotland in the 1930s. It’s a cute story, very much a PBS show and I really enjoyed it. They’re also filming a season 2!
- Tournament of Champions on Food Network – I watched last season and it was fun watching 4 great female chefs take the top spots! This season is even better, great chefs, and has been a must watch for me!
- Chopped &/or Friends– Let’s face it, when you’re feeling awful, watching endless episodes of Chopped or Friends just makes you feel better.
- Top Chef! Ok, so I haven’t been binging reruns of former seasons, but Top Chef Portland starts tomorrow and I can’t wait!!!
Thanks for reading! See you in April!
